Privacy Policy

1. INTRODUCTION

Rent Me Madeira intends to ensure that the processing of personal data, in compliance with the rules established in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016. For this purpose, this document was approved, which aims to enshrine the company’s Privacy Policy, establishing the main rules observed by Rent Me Madeira, with regard to the processing of personal data.

The collection and processing of personal data provided to Rent Me Madeira, as well as the exercise of the rights of its holders in relation to this data, are governed by this Privacy Policy, by the internal regulations and by the other instruments used by Rent Me Madeira, under the terms and to the extent applicable to data subjects.

Definitions on data processing:
  • (a) “CNPD”: Comissão Nacional de Protecção de Dados;
  • (b) “Consent of the data subject”: any expression of free, specific and informed will, under the terms of which the subject accepts that his Personal Data are subject to processing;

  • (d) “Sensitive Data”: Personal Data referring to philosophical or political beliefs, union affiliation, religious faith, private life and racial or ethnic origin, as well as the processing of data relating to health and sex life, including genetic data;
  • (e) “Data interconnection”: form of treatment consisting of linking the data in a file with the data in another file maintained by another person in charge, or the data in a file maintained by the same person in charge for a different purpose;
  • (f) “Legislação relativa à protecção de Dados Pessoais – LPDP”: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016;
  • (g) “RPDP”: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27, 2016;

  • (h) “Responsible”: the (Company designation) or another Group company that determines the purposes and means of processing Personal Data;

  • (i) “Subcontractor”: the natural or legal person who processes Personal Data in the name and on behalf of the Controller;

  • (j) “Third Party”: the natural or legal person, public authority, service or any other body to which the Controller transmits Personal Data;

  • (k) “Data Subject”: the identified or identifiable natural person whose Personal Data is processed by Intercourier, Lda., or by another Responsible;

“Processing of Personal Data”: any operation or set of operations on Personal Data, carried out with or without automated means, such as collection, registration, organization, conservation, adaptation or alteration, recovery, consultation, use, communication by transmission, broadcast or any other form of making available, with comparison or interconnection, as well as blocking, deletion or destruction.

3. PRINCIPLES APPLICABLE TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
General principles

This Personal Data Processing regulates the collection and processing of your Personal Data, as well as the exercise of your rights in relation to them, under the terms of the Legislation on the protection of Personal Data. Personal Data Processing will be carried out in accordance with the following principles:

  • (i) Lawfulness and loyalty;
  • (ii) Purpose;
  • (iii) Adequacy, pertinence and proportionality;
  • (iv) Accuracy;
  • (v) Conservation;
  • (vi) Information;
  • (vii) Security;
  • (viii) Legitimacy.
Intended purpose

The collected Personal Data will be processed and stored in a computer by Rent Me Madeira, for the purpose of managing the relationship between Rent Me Madeira and the Data Subject for the purpose of performing services.

Collection, processing and conservation of Personal Data

Rent Me Madeira will only process Personal Data if they are necessary for the pursuit of its activity, compliance with legal or contractual obligations or for the pursuit of the purposes indicated above.

Rent Me Madeira assumes that the data collected was entered / made available by the respective owner and that its insertion / availability to Rent Me Madeira was authorized by the same, with the Personal Data in question being true and accurate.

Some of the information collected by Rent Me Madeira consists of data referring to an identifiable natural person.

Under the terms set out in the LPDP, Data Subjects are guaranteed the right to access, update and rectify their Personal Data, as well as the right to oppose their processing, under the terms declared, and such exercise must be carried out in person by the holder of the data.
